IBM and Texas A&M AgriLife provide data, technology and expertise to farmers in need
Texas has experienced severe heat and draught during the last couple of years. Small farmers, particularly those in arid and drought-prone regions, struggle with how much water to use for specific crops to ensure a good yield. IBM and Texas A&M AgriLife are working together to help farmers get information and advice on water usage to optimize the water supply and reduce economic and environmental costs. The partnership produced Liquid Prep, an AI-driven application using soil sensors, weather forecasts and crop data to provide "when to water" decision support to U.S. farmers. Learn more about Liquid Prep and how IBM's Environmental Intelligence Suite helps companies optimize resources and minimize environmental impacts. Read the customer story.
